Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured the media that talks with farmer representatives concluded on a positive note, emphasizing the government's openness to dialogue. Scheduled to reconvene in Chandigarh, the talks aim at resolving pressing issues such as the Minimum Support Price (MSP), debt waivers, and justice for past agitations.

Chouhan, alongside ministers Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal, met with leaders from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, who have pressed for legal backing of MSP and additional farmer-friendly measures. The meeting, spanning nearly three hours, reiterated the Modi government's dedication to ensuring farmers' welfare and listening to their grievances.

As part of ongoing protests, leaders like Jagjit Singh Dallewal have intensified calls for actions on longstanding demands. The government's renewed engagement reflects a strategic move to prevent escalating tensions and demonstrates its willingness to pursue negotiations in a structured, phased manner.
