In a concerning incident in Kundara, two individuals have been arrested for allegedly placing a telephone post across railway tracks, as reported by the local police on Saturday. The arrested men, identified as Rajesh (33) from Perumpuzha and Arun (39) from Ilamballur, are suspected of attempting to steal parts of the post.

The obstruction was discovered early Saturday morning after a vigilant resident noticed the telephone post near the old fire station in Nedumbayikulam around 1:30 am, promptly alerting railway authorities who removed it. CCTV footage from the area played a crucial role in apprehending the suspects, the police stated.

During their interrogation, the duo confessed to breaking the cast iron from the telephone pole intending to steal it, although authorities have not ruled out sabotage. Both individuals have prior criminal records, and the police have confirmed that a detailed investigation is currently underway.
