At a recent seminar in Thane, Justice SP Tavade, head of the Maharashtra State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission, delivered a stirring message to the medical community. He urged doctors to continue practicing ethically, undeterred by the shadow of potential legal actions.

Speaking alongside former National Medical Commission member Dr. Shivkumar Utture, Justice Tavade addressed the complexity of the interface between law and medicine. He underscored the necessity for patients and their families to act judiciously regarding medical grievances.

The seminar, attended by consumer dispute commission officials from Thane and Pune, also featured discussions on significant Supreme Court judgments and the duties of healthcare practitioners in maintaining high ethical standards.
