The Delhi Police's Special Cell has successfully apprehended notorious gangster Dheerpal, also known as Deepak, after a prolonged pursuit. He was a prominent figure in the criminal networks led by Manoj Morkheri and Vikas Lagarpuria. According to officials, Dheerpal was finally found and arrested in Chandousi, Uttar Pradesh, capping a three-month extensive operation.

Dheerpal was on the run, fleeing interim bail provided for his mother's medical needs in October 2023. With a record involving 25 criminal cases, including murder and abduction, he cleverly manipulated the system by using false identities. His history with crime dates back years, with significant cases lodged under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime (MCOC) Act.

Law enforcement struggled to pin him down as he frequently altered his locations, deploying counter-surveillance tactics to elude capture. The breakthrough came when officers tracked and arrested him on February 15. Dheerpal's involvement in organized crime began at a young age, influenced by his early connections with notorious gangsters. His criminal journey has been marked by high-profile ransom demands and deadly clashes with rival groups.
