Alleged Recruitment Scam in UP: Congress Demands Probe

The Congress has alleged a scam in the recruitment of 69,000 teachers in Uttar Pradesh, where reserved seats for SC, ST, and OBC candidates were allegedly given to unreserved category individuals. They demand a high-level judicial investigation, claiming it undermines social justice and constitutional reservations.

The Congress has raised serious allegations concerning a 'scam' in the recruitment process of 69,000 teachers in Uttar Pradesh, asserting that individuals from the unreserved category were improperly allotted reserved seats.

Despite the gravity of the allegations, neither the BJP ruling party nor the Uttar Pradesh government has issued a response. Congress MP Tanuj Punia brought attention to the issue based on a media report during a press conference at the party's headquarters.

Punia highlighted that while 18,500 seats were supposed to be reserved for SC, ST, and OBC categories, only 2,637 were filled accordingly. He called for eligible candidates from these communities to be given their rightful places and demanded a high-level judicial inquiry into what he termed as a 'recruitment scam'.
