A tech firm manager from Agra has taken his own life, echoing a hauntingly similar incident involving another tech employee in Bengaluru last year. Before his death, 30-year-old Manav Sharma recorded a video accusing his wife, Niketa, of driving him to such an extreme step.
The tragic incident occurred on February 24, a day after the couple had reportedly returned to Agra from Mumbai and visited Niketa's family. The police are investigating, considering allegations from both parties. While Manav's family cites harassment by his wife, Niketa has countered with claims of abuse by Manav.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vinayak Bhosale, stated that the police are delving into the couple's tumultuous relationship. A case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered, highlighting the complexity of the case as it treads familiar ground seen in the Bengaluru techie's case last December.
