In Pune, two men were detained after a video capturing them urinating at a traffic junction emerged on social media, triggering widespread attention. Gaurav Ahuja and Bhagyesh Oswal were booked under multiple charges, including public nuisance and reckless driving.
The incident occurred at 7:30am on a Saturday in Shastrinagar, Yerawada, bringing immediate legal action as the video showed one of them performing the act and later making an obscene gesture towards the person recording.
The police sought their remand to investigate potential narcotic use, while their lawyer contended that the charges were exaggerated due to external pressures. Despite these arguments, the court granted custody till March 10 to continue investigations.
