Lok Sabha to Deliberate on Manipur and Key Discussional Matters

The Lok Sabha will engage in a one-hour discussion regarding the statutory resolution approving the proclamation of President's Rule in Manipur, following a decision by its Business Advisory Committee (BAC), led by Speaker Om Birla.
Additionally, the House will discuss Manipur's budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, beginning Tuesday. This discussion will be combined with the second batch of Supplementary Demands for Grants for 2024-25 and Excess Grants for 2021-22, with six dedicated hours.
The BAC cancelled the March 13 sitting for Holi, rescheduling it to March 29. Ten hours have been allocated for Railway discussions, while separate days will focus on the Demands for Grants of the Jal Shakti and Agriculture Ministries, with eight hours for the Finance Bill. The committee has also empowered the speaker to select two additional ministries for discussion.
