Dramatic Escape Attempt Ends in Gunfire: Garuda Gangster Wounded

Isaq, a member of the notorious Garuda gang, was wounded during an encounter with police in Hiriyadka. After escaping custody, he attacked police and tried to flee, forcing officers to fire. Both Isaq and injured officers were hospitalized, and a new case has been filed against him.

In a dramatic turn of events, a member of the infamous Garuda gang was shot by police as he attempted to escape custody. The incident took place within Hiriyadka police station limits on Wednesday.

The gang member, identified as Isaq, had eluded Bengaluru police and was wanted for his involvement in a robbery case. He was intercepted in Hassan district and was being transported back to Manipal when he requested a medical stop.

However, Isaq allegedly assaulted the police escort, leading to a tense confrontation. Despite warnings, he resisted arrest, prompting Manipal Inspector Devaraj to take decisive action by firing a warning shot. As he persisted, a shot was aimed at his leg to immobilize him. The injured Isaq and police personnel are now in a Manipal hospital, and further investigations are underway.
