In a major crackdown, authorities in Ahmedabad have seized narcotics worth Rs 3.45 crore, cleverly concealed inside soft toys and food products. These illicit drugs, imported from countries such as the United States and Canada, were discovered at the Foreign Post Office.

The crime branch received a tip-off about contraband being sent via parcels. Upon collaboration with Customs, they identified 105 suspicious parcels containing hybrid ganja, charas, MDMA, and cannabis oil, packed inside inconspicuous items. An FIR has been filed under the NDPS Act against unidentified individuals.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Himala Joshi, emphasized that drug dealers used incomplete addresses to dupe authorities. The parcels, ordered through the Dark Web, indicate a sophisticated drug trafficking operation. Investigations are underway to trace the senders and receivers.
