The Allahabad High Court has granted the Centre more time to respond to a petition demanding the cancellation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 2024 parliamentary candidacy over allegations of concealed British citizenship.

The court, led by Justices A R Masoodi and A K Srivastava, will revisit the case in the week starting April 21, following a petition from BJP member S Vignesh Shishir.

The Centre, which has asked for additional time several times, has initiated inquiries with the British government regarding the allegations.
