In a chilling case of conspiracy and betrayal, a man from Nagina allegedly orchestrated his wife's murder to pursue marriage with his sister-in-law, according to police reports. The man and his accomplice have been taken into custody following a thorough investigation.
The Circle Officer of the Nagina region, Bharat Sonkar, revealed that on March 8, the husband, Ankit, deceived his wife, Kiran, by leaving her on a roadside under the pretense of refueling his bike. During this time, a car, driven by Ankit's friend Sachin, ran over Kiran, killing her instantly. Suspicion arose from Kiran's family, leading to a police investigation.
The police's review of CCTV footage identified the perpetrator and vehicle involved. Confronted with evidence, Ankit confessed to conspiring with Sachin to eliminate his wife due to issues of childlessness and a desire for his sister-in-law. Both men face legal proceedings as further investigations continue.
