Srinagar Central Control Rooms: A Response to Rising Tensions

In response to Indian missile strikes on sites in Pakistan and PoK, Srinagar authorities have established central control rooms for monitoring developments. These rooms, operating continuously across 10 Kashmir districts, aim to coordinate departments, inform the public, and address grievances efficiently, amidst heightened regional tensions.

In a strategic move, Srinagar authorities have established central control rooms across Kashmir in response to India's recent missile strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The initiative is aimed at monitoring the evolving situation and ensuring seamless interdepartmental coordination.

Under the aegis of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Srinagar, a Joint Control Room has been set up at the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC). Operating around the clock, it is designed to serve as a centralized communication hub, facilitating real-time updates and addressing public grievances promptly.

Parallel setups have been installed in 10 districts, with directives from the Jammu and Kashmir government restricting employee leave except under extraordinary circumstances, highlighting the critical nature of the current environment.
