Deadly Dinner: Salt Quarrel Turns Fatal in Delhi

A seemingly trivial dispute turned deadly on Wednesday night when two laborers quarrelled over the amount of salt in their dinner at a southeast Delhi construction site. The altercation resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man, Rakesh, who was killed with shards of glass by his co-worker, Lalji.
The incident unfolded around 9 pm at Amar Colony, with police receiving a report about the squabble shortly thereafter. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Rakesh dead and Lalji severely injured. According to witnesses, including fellow laborers Tejilal and Ramjeevan, the disagreement escalated abruptly, culminating in violence.
Lalji allegedly attacked Rakesh in a fit of rage using broken glass, inflicting fatal wounds. Authorities have filed a murder case under Section 103(1) and are monitoring Lalji's recovery at AIIMS hospital, intending to arrest him once he is medically cleared. The crime scene has been extensively examined, and forensic evidence has been gathered as the investigation continues.
