In response to the shifting dynamics following Operation Sindoor, an emergency panchayat is scheduled for May 10 at the Sarv Khap headquarters in Soram village, Muzaffarnagar district. Organized by Sarv Khap secretary Chaudhary Subhash Balyan, the assembly aims to address the developments post-Operation Sindoor.

Despite the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) postponing agitation efforts and endorsing the government's counter-terror operations, growing tensions have prompted the need for this urgent meeting. Rakesh Tikait, BKU national spokesperson, declared their support in a video statement, emphasizing the organization's commitment to combating terrorism.

The decision for this gathering also derives from the May 2 incident where Tikait endured harassment during an 'Akrosh rally', an event protesting the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. These events have spurred BKU chief Naresh Tikait to consider a separate panchayat to discuss the supposed conspiracy against the farmers' movement.
