Haryana's Strategic Fund Allocation Amid Indo-Pak Tensions

The Haryana government has sanctioned Rs 1.10 crore for district-level preparedness due to India-Pakistan tensions. Each deputy commissioner receives Rs 5 lakh, with strict guidelines on spending and reporting. The government stresses financial discipline, preventing hoarding, and maintaining essential services and control rooms around the clock.

The Haryana government has strategically allocated Rs 1.10 crore to equip districts amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan. According to Sumita Misra, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department and Revenue and Disaster Management, each deputy commissioner will receive Rs 5 lakh for emergent situations.

The Department of Revenue and Disaster Management has issued strict instructions that these funds must be used exclusively for their intended purposes. Any additional expenditure will require prior government approval. Monthly financial reports are to be submitted by the 10th of each month.

Officials were also instructed to prevent hoarding and ensure that essential goods remain available to avoid panic buying. District-level control rooms are to be fully operational, warning systems are primed, and emergency services, including medical facilities, are on standby.
