A 27-year-old man has been apprehended and incarcerated for reportedly sharing a video supporting Pakistan on his Facebook page, authorities confirmed on Monday. The video allegedly stated that India's Rafale fighter plane was downed by Pakistani forces.
Hazrat Nagar Garhi Station House Officer Anuj Kumar Tomar announced that Jamaat Ali, a Mukrabpur village resident, was jailed on Sunday after an investigation found he shared a video claiming Pakistan shot down India's Rafale fighter jet, capturing its pilot. Further scrutiny revealed Ali's involvement in liking and sharing similar pro-Pakistan videos on Facebook, police reported, referencing the FIR.
With a complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Dheerendra Kumar, a case was registered against Ali on Sunday under Section 152, which addresses acts jeopardizing India's sovereignty, unity, and integrity, as per the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
