Notorious Offender Arrested at Court Premises

Abdul Gaffar, a wanted criminal in connection with a 2021 gang rape and a recent shooting incident, was apprehended at Tis Hazari Court. Authorities had been pursuing Gaffar since October 2021, declaring him a proclaimed offender in 2022. He surfaced at the court apparently to surrender but was captured by police.

A notorious criminal, Abdul Gaffar, was arrested on Tuesday at Tis Hazari Court premises. He was wanted in connection with a 2021 gang rape case and a recent shooting incident, according to police sources.

Gaffar, a resident of Burari, had evaded arrest since October 2021 despite multiple police operations. In April 2022, he was declared a proclaimed offender by a Delhi court.

Police stated that in March, Gaffar was also involved in another criminal case, wherein he allegedly shot a man before disappearing. Following persistent investigative efforts and increased pressure on his associates, Gaffar emerged at Tis Hazari on May 9 to surrender but was apprehended before he could do so.
