Filippo Grandi, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, stated that the organization will channel its resources towards activities that provide the most substantial impact for refugees, supported by a more efficient headquarters and regional bureau framework.

The reduction in fixed positions and the non-renewal of temporary contracts have cumulatively led to a 30% reduction in staffing expenses, the Geneva-based agency confirmed.
