Heightened security measures swept through Kempegowda International Airport following a hoax bomb threat, as confirmed by law enforcement sources on Thursday.
The alert was triggered by an email sent Wednesday night, purportedly by a terrorist. It alleged the presence of two bombs, designating one as 'Plan A' and a secondary 'Plan B'. Additionally, it claimed an explosive device was concealed inside a pipeline in an airport restroom.
Security personnel thoroughly inspected the airport, ultimately determining that no explosives were present. Officials have since labeled the threat as a hoax, and a formal investigation has been launched to identify the perpetrator behind the email threat.
