Kashmir Security Ensured for Muharram and International Day of Yoga

The Inspector General of Police in Kashmir, V K Birdi, convened a meeting with various security forces to discuss measures for maintaining peace during Muharram and the International Day of Yoga (IDY). The assembly was held at the PCR Kashmir and included top police and security force officials.

During the discussion, officers shared their security arrangements to ensure the smooth progress of the upcoming Muharram processions and IDY events. Key topics included the management of mourning processions, crowd control, traffic regulation, and the reinforcement of law and order during these occasions.

IGP Birdi instructed officers to implement foolproof security plans and emphasized the need for increased surveillance against potential anti-national threats.
