Four More Arrested in Shahi Jama Masjid Violence Case

Four individuals have been apprehended in connection with last year's violent incident near the Shahi Jama Masjid, raising the total to 96 arrests. The four, identified as Abdul Ali, Akbar Ali, Haider Ali, and Munawwar Ali, were linked to the violence through visual evidence. The incident resulted in four casualties.

Four individuals have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the violence that broke out near the Shahi Jama Masjid last November 24, authorities reported on Friday.

The recent arrests increase the total number involved in the case to 96. The men, identified as Abdul Ali, Akbar Ali, Haider Ali, and Munawwar Ali, are residents of the Kot Purvi Police Station area. Police connected them to the violence using video footage and photographs.

The tragic incident led to the deaths of four people and numerous injuries during a dispute between the police and protesters over a court-mandated survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid.
