Four individuals have been taken into custody for their alleged involvement in the violence that broke out near the Shahi Jama Masjid last November 24, authorities reported on Friday.
The recent arrests increase the total number involved in the case to 96. The men, identified as Abdul Ali, Akbar Ali, Haider Ali, and Munawwar Ali, are residents of the Kot Purvi Police Station area. Police connected them to the violence using video footage and photographs.
The tragic incident led to the deaths of four people and numerous injuries during a dispute between the police and protesters over a court-mandated survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid.
