Authorities in Nadia district's Molandi village have uncovered 40 crude bombs following the tragic death of a 13-year-old girl during a bomb explosion amid the Kaliganj assembly constituency by-election vote count.
While no direct suspects have been apprehended for the bomb recovery, nine individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder of the young girl. The police made their recent discovery during a meticulous search of the area, where the explosives were clandestinely stored in a bucket.
The victim's mother, Sabina Yasmin, contends that bombs were thrown from a rally celebrating a Trinamool Congress victory, even before the official announcement of results. Her claim spurred the investigation, leading to a torch rally in protest of both the girl's death and the alleged gang-rape of a law student in Kolkata.
