Police Constable Accused in Shocking Abduction and Rape Case

In a disturbing incident, a police constable has been accused of abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in Nawabganj. The alleged crime unfolded on Wednesday as the girl made her way to school.

Family members, worried when the girl didn't return home, initiated a search. The girl's father claimed he saw her in the constable's car and managed to detain him. The accused, Constable Vinay Chauhan, has since been suspended.

The local police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Chauhan, with Superintendent of Police Arti Singh entrusting Circle Officer Rajesh Dwivedi to lead an investigation into the case.
