National Conference Criticizes Lieutenant Governor Over Governance Delays

The National Conference launched a critique against Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday, voicing concerns over governance delays in Jammu and Kashmir.

Chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq commended Sinha for clarifying that the Raj Bhavan focuses solely on law and order but pointed out unresolved governance issues.

In his statement, Sadiq questioned the delay in appointing a Director of Information and the non-functional status of the Advocate General's office since October 2024, despite agreements to retain the Raj Bhavan-appointed Advocate General. Furthermore, he demanded clarification on the withheld approval for business rules submitted twice by the elected government.
