Crime of Passion: Woman Arrested for Husband's Murder

In a shocking development from Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district, police have arrested a 29-year-old woman accused of murdering her husband over an alleged extramarital affair. The accused, Puja Kumari, reportedly killed her husband, Rajesh Kumar Mahtha, by striking him with a hammer while he was asleep on the night of July 15/16. The crime came to light after the police recovered the body and launched an investigation. Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar Lunayat confirmed the arrest.

During a press conference, Lunayat stated that Puja fled the scene with her children after committing the crime. The police, using both human and technical evidence, apprehended her soon after.
