Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta marked a significant shift in legislative processes by inaugurating the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) Seva Centre on Monday. This move represents a pivotal journey towards a digital and transparent legislative framework.
Gupta, aligning the initiative with the Prime Minister's vision for Digital India's paperless governance, criticized previous governments for their lack of action. He emphasized that this advancement would modernize legislative functions and enhance accountability.
MLAs received smartphones with the NeVA app, providing access to essential legislative documents and updates. A comprehensive three-day training session aims to equip them with practical skills for effective digital participation, preparing them for the upcoming Monsoon Session.
