Operation Sindoor was launched as a stringent countermeasure to a brutal attack attributed to terrorists sponsored by Pakistan. The operation primarily aimed at dismantling terror infrastructure and neutralizing terrorist threats poised to infiltrate India, as detailed by the Indian government on Thursday.
Responding to a query in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh stated that India's response was characterized by a focused, measured approach devoid of escalatory tactics. Questions were raised about the potential impact on Indian forces' morale following an unexpected ceasefire declaration amidst their significant operational achievements.
The operation effectively eliminated nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir through precise strikes. It coincided with India's diplomatic efforts to isolate Pakistan internationally, contributing to global sanctions and counter-terrorism designations against Pakistan-based entities. The operation reflects India's steadfast stance on national security and counter-terrorism collaboration with international partners.
