Doctors at a government hospital wore black badges on Saturday to protest against an alleged attack on a medic by a patient's relative.
The incident took place at Capital Hospital, where the assailant, identified as Bindu Sagar Rout from Nimapada, reportedly attacked a doctor in a heated argument.
Health and Family Welfare Secretary Aswathy S has assured enhanced security for medical staff, following discussions with the hospital's protesting doctors.
