The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a man for allegedly using a fake diploma certificate to secure employment in the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This arrest highlights the ongoing crackdown on fraudulent activities in public sector employment.
The individual, identified as Dipak Kumar Das and resident of Port Blair's Shadipur area, secured a lab assistant position by submitting a falsified diploma in medical laboratory technique. Officials noted the discrepancy between the required Medical Laboratory Technology course certificate and the one Das submitted.
Further investigations revealed that the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education never issued Das the required certifications, contrary to what was provided. The situation underscores the importance of verifying educational credentials in hiring practices.
