In an intense shootout in Bihar's Gayaji district, police successfully apprehended three notorious criminals wanted in multiple cases, authorities reported Tuesday.

The suspects, identified as Satish alias Chandan, Vikki Kumar, and Ashish, fell into police custody after their attempts to escape were thwarted. Satish had been implicated in a recent assault on a local doctor.

Recovered from the scene were a homemade pistol, two live cartridges, and a motorbike. The standoff unfolded in Hasanpur, where police acted on a tip-off. The ensuing exchange left Satish injured, and he is now receiving medical treatment.
