Minister Cracks Down on Negligence After Surprise Inspection Uncovers Termite Infestation

In a decisive move, Haryana's Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister, Ranbir Gangwa, has initiated disciplinary actions following his surprise inspection of a PWD rest house in Bahadurgarh.
During the unannounced visit on July 26, Gangwa uncovered alarming lapses, including termite-infested VIP rooms and poor overall hygiene, leading to swift actions against four officials. Sub Divisional Engineer Rajesh Tanwar and Junior Engineer Mohit Chauhan were chargesheeted under the Haryana Civil Services Rules 2016.
The minister emphasized the importance of vigilance among officers, stating that negligence would not be tolerated, and urged regular inspections and maintenance of government facilities.
