Inter-State Auto Gang Busted in Delhi: The Theft Chronicles

An inter-state gang of five individuals was apprehended in Delhi for posing as passengers in auto-rickshaws to steal from others. Police recovered gold jewelry worth Rs 20 lakh and arrested the group after tracing the auto involved in a reported theft. The suspects targeted solo travelers at busy transit points.

Delhi police have dismantled a notorious inter-state gang responsible for duping and pilfering valuables from unsuspecting passengers in shared auto-rickshaws. The five-member gang consistently targeted individuals traveling alone near railway stations and transit areas within the city.

Detectives recovered gold ornaments valued at Rs 20 lakh, Rs 11,000 in cash, and two auto-rickshaws utilized in the crime sprees. The ring came under scrutiny following a theft complaint lodged by a resident of Aligarh, marking the case's progression.

Key suspect Wasim was apprehended after police traced the auto via CCTV footage, leading to the arrest of his cohorts, including gang leader Mohsin. Further investigation confirmed the group's culpability in a spate of thefts across the urban expanse.
