A 15-year-old girl from Odisha's Puri district succumbed to severe burn injuries at AIIMS Delhi, after allegedly being set ablaze by three unidentified attackers. The tragic incident occurred on July 19 on the Bhargavi riverbanks.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound shock and sadness over the girl's death, stating that despite the relentless efforts of government and medical specialists, her life could not be saved.
The girl had been transferred to AIIMS Delhi from Bhubaneswar on July 20, following the attack which left her with 70 percent burns. Majhi offered prayers for her soul's peace and support to her family.
