Head Constable Daljit Singh, dressed in plain clothes, acted swiftly on a tip-off and intercepted the two men riding a motorcycle. As he attempted to interrogate them, they made a bid to escape.
In the ensuing chaos, Singh managed to seize one individual. However, the dramatic turn of events saw the second suspect open fire, narrowly missing Singh, forcing the officer to release his captive. The duo subsequently fled the scene on their motorbike. In response, the police have filed an FIR and launched a manhunt for the suspects.
