Tragedy at El Teniente: Mining Collapse Claims Four Lives

A tragic collapse at Chilean copper miner Codelco's El Teniente site has resulted in the confirmed deaths of four workers, the mining company announced on Sunday.

The incident began on Thursday evening, initially claiming the life of one worker. Over the weekend, Codelco reported the death of a second trapped individual.

Rescue operations have progressed with teams clearing 24 meters of blocked passages, as they continue their efforts to find the two workers still unaccounted for.
