A 28-year-old man, identified as Limin Ingo, was found dead in the Yomgo River located in West Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh, authorities reported on Monday. Ingo went missing on August 1 after he inadvertently slipped into the river while fishing.
The body was recovered near Patum Bridge by a National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team around 10:30 am, according to Yomken Riram, officer-in-charge of Aalo police station. Unfortunately, initial attempts by Ingo's friends to rescue him after he fell into the strong currents proved futile.
A concerted search effort involving local villagers from Paya, Kabu, Patum, and Logum Jini, alongside residents of Aalo town, the police, NDRF, and State Disaster Response Force, culminated in the discovery of the missing individual.
