A major drug bust occurred at IGI Airport when authorities apprehended a man carrying cocaine worth Rs 82 crore. The Customs department revealed the narcotics were ingeniously hidden inside eight golden boxes of Ferrero Rocher chocolates tucked inside a green hand bag.
Arriving from Doha, the suspect was detained based on suspicion. Upon inspecting his luggage, Customs officials discovered 5469.5 grams of a white substance that tests confirmed to be cocaine. The illegal substance carries an approximate street value of Rs 82.04 crore.
The passenger has since been taken into custody as investigations continue to unveil further details surrounding this ambitious smuggling attempt.
