Tripura's Development Push: Rs 87 Crore Boost for Infrastructure

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has approved over Rs 87 crore for projects enhancing the state's infrastructure. Funds will improve roads and public health, notably a Rs 32.33 crore investment in Agartala Municipal Corporation. These efforts aim to upgrade living standards and governance across several sub-divisions before Durga Puja.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced the approval of over Rs 87 crore dedicated to a series of developmental projects in the northeastern state. Aimed at upgrading civic infrastructure, road connectivity, and public health facilities, these projects are set to reshape the living conditions significantly.

Among the sanctioned projects, Rs 32.33 crore has been allocated towards constructing RCC cover drains and roads within various wards of the Agartala Municipal Corporation. Additionally, maintenance works for 27 PMGSY roads spanning 129.5 kilometers across 12 sub-divisions have received Rs 55.16 crore in funding.

This initiative is a testament to the government's commitment to advancing living standards and ensuring efficient governance. Sub-divisions like Sonamura, Bishalgarh, Teliamura, Mohanpur, Udaipur, and several others will see infrastructural improvements before the onset of Durga Puja. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Saha convened a meeting with senior officials to review ongoing development activities.
