Knifepoint Robbery Foiled by Delhi Police

The Delhi Police apprehended five juveniles involved in a knifepoint robbery in Azadpur, northwest Delhi. The incident occurred on August 5 when the youths attacked Jakir Ali and stole his mobile phone. Aided by CCTV footage, the police tracked and detained the suspects, who confessed to the crime.

In a swift operation, the Delhi Police successfully apprehended five juveniles responsible for a daring knifepoint robbery in the northwest Delhi neighborhood of Azadpur. The crime unfolded on the night of August 5 when Jakir Ali, an Adarsh Nagar resident, encountered the young assailants en route to the Azadpur Subzi Mandi.

The five suspects ambushed Ali at around 9 pm. While two held him down, a third brandished a knife, threatening his life if he resisted. A fourth member snatched Ali's mobile phone before the group swiftly made their escape, according to police sources.

Despite the absence of direct CCTV footage of the crime, investigators painstakingly reviewed nearby cameras, ultimately leading them to the Tamatar Mandi area. This diligent tracking culminated in the identification and arrest of the youths, who have since confessed to the robbery as an attempt to earn quick money.
