Tragic Incident: Teen Arrested for Heinous Crimes Against Child

A teenager has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault and murder of a five-year-old boy, authorities reported on Sunday.

The suspect, employed at a timber depot, purportedly enticed the victim with biscuits on August 12, leading him to an isolated area near his home where the alleged crimes took place.

Police used CCTV footage to track the boy's last known movements, ultimately apprehending the suspect on August 15. During interrogation, he confessed, stating he acted to prevent the child from speaking out. The boy's body was discovered nearby, and the suspect was subjected to an age determination test. Charges under POCSO and BNS have been filed.
