Tragic Disappearance: Labourer Swept Away in Arunachal's Tirap District

A labourer named Bappon Mahato from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, went missing after being swept away by strong currents while attempting to cross a river in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district. Despite five others managing to escape, a search operation by the State Disaster Response Force is underway.

A tragic incident unfolded near R K Mission School in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district when a labourer was reported missing after attempting to cross a river.

Identified as Bappon Mahato from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, he was accompanied by five others who managed to escape the river's fierce currents. Sadly, Mahato was overpowered and swept away.

The State Disaster Response Force has been tirelessly searching the area, hoping to find Mahato after he was last seen on Saturday.
