Sub-Inspector Jailed for Ignoring Bailable Warrant in Court Saga

A local court recently sent a sub-inspector to jail after he failed to pay a Rs 10,000 bailable warrant. The officer, identified as Sub-Inspector Sandeep Rawal, was absent during a crucial POCSO case session.

Additional Sessions Judge Ramesh Kumar was overseeing the case when Rawal missed his appearance, prompting the issuance of the warrant. Initially, Rawal requested cancellation of the non-bailable warrant, claiming he was engaged in another court activity.

However, despite obtaining time to make the payment, Rawal returned to court without fulfilling his obligation. Consequently, Judge Kumar ordered his custody, underlining the officer's disregard for court procedures. The order was also forwarded to the deputy commissioner of police for necessary action.
