A tragic incident in Indore has escalated public distrust in local road safety enforcement, as a reckless truck accident claimed three lives. The accident unfolded as an uncontrolled truck collided with pedestrians on Aerodrome Road, subsequently crashing into vehicles and igniting in flames.
Two individuals died immediately, while over ten were injured in the chaos. A third victim succumbed to injuries in the hospital. Authorities identified the driver, Gulsher, as intoxicated, and he has since been apprehended by the police. Anger among residents has spurred accusations against local law enforcement for permitting heavy vehicles on a restricted road without adequate control.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav visited the injured, committing state resources to aid victims and their families. He has also assured a stringent investigation led by the additional chief secretary of the home department to address how the truck breached traffic laws.
