A court in Gurugram has sentenced a man to five years of rigorous imprisonment for phone snatching. The punishment, handed down on Tuesday, also includes a fine of Rs 25,000, according to police sources.
The convicted individual, identified as Pradeep, lives in Dundahera village. He was found guilty by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Saurabh Gupta after evidence indicated his involvement in the crime.
The case originated in July 2022 when a complaint was filed at Palam Vihar police station. Following thorough investigation, the police arrested Pradeep, subsequently filing a chargesheet that led to his conviction.
