In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Delhi Police have arrested five individuals, including the kingpin of a major narcotic supply chain, seizing heroin valued at approximately Rs 6.25 crores.
Anil, the alleged mastermind aged 50, was wanted by various agencies, including the Narcotics Control Bureau. He reportedly amassed considerable wealth from his illegal activities, possessing properties worth Rs 10 crore in the Delhi-NCR region.
The arrests follow the apprehension of Afsana in August, leading to a cascade of further detentions and heroin seizures, marking a decisive blow to the network.
