The Delhi High Court has revoked the bail of a man accused of heinous crimes against his minor daughter, citing the case as both shocking and unfortunate. The allegations involve repeated rape and coercing the child to view pornography, painting a distressing picture of prolonged abuse.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna noted the serious nature of the charges, describing the accused as a sex addict with a habit of watching pornographic videos. This decision overturned a previous trial court ruling, which had granted bail shortly after the FIR was registered in June 2021.
The high court criticized the trial court for ignoring significant details of the case, including the victim's prolonged suffering, despite the parents' separation. The high court ordered the accused to surrender within seven days and emphasized the grave betrayal of a father abusing his own child.
