Russia Appeals UN Court Over MH17 Accusation
Russia has appealed to the UN's International Court of Justice over the ICAO's decision blaming it for downing Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in 2014. Moscow contests the ruling's legal basis and procedural integrity. The ICAO's initial decision was backed by findings from a Dutch-led investigation.

Russia has taken its challenge against the International Civil Aviation Organisation to the United Nations' top court after being blamed for the 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 over Ukraine.
Moscow's appeal to the International Court of Justice disputes ICAO's decision on multiple fronts, including jurisdiction and evidence, as stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The ICAO previously declared Russia responsible based on a Dutch-led investigation, which Moscow claims lacked a comprehensive and unbiased international inquiry.
