Mumbai Customs has announced significant seizures of hydroponic weed and foreign currency at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, totaling Rs 20 crore and Rs 26.37 lakh, respectively.
The seizures occurred during the late hours between Wednesday and Thursday, targeting passengers associated with flights to and from Bangkok.
In a notable incident, a passenger departing Mumbai was caught with concealed foreign currency in his trolley bag. Meanwhile, incoming passengers were found with a cache of hydroponic weed, resulting in arrests under the NDPS Act.
