Morphed Image Controversy Leads to Arrest in UP
A 22-year-old man named Sameer from Nehta village in Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly sharing a morphed photograph of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Instagram. The arrest was made under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) by the Baniather police.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man named Sameer for allegedly sharing a doctored photograph of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Instagram. The action took place on Thursday and was confirmed by local authorities.
The arrest was carried out by officers from the Baniather police station, where Manoj Kumar Verma, the station in-charge, confirmed the operation. Sameer, a resident of Nehta village, had posted the controversial image on his social media account.
Legal proceedings have been initiated under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following his arrest, Sameer was promptly sent to jail, Verma added.
